CAREER PATHWAY


A SIT30216 Certificate III in Retail is a prerequisite for a number of additional certifications in the retail and customer service sectors. This can lead to the Certificate IV in Retail Management or other higher level qualifications.

SKILLS RECOGNITION


You may be qualified to apply for advanced standing for one or more units if you already have some training, job experience, or life experience in management, team leader, coordinator, or similar roles. Among the recognition processes are:Credit transfer Mutual recognition Recognition by assessment.

DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS


Ideally, a combination of on- and off-the job methods can be used to deliver this qualification over a minimum of three to six months. Our programme involves group learning sessions, research exercises, summative assessment projects, and self-directed reading. In total, we have allotted up to 1200 hours for study, which is suitable for a Certificate III level. Depending on the learner’s present capabilities and the amount of time they have available to complete the requirements, the qualification may be expedited.

RPL

You may apply for RPL (recognise prior learning) if you can demonstrate or document that you have the knowledge and experience necessary to meet all of the competencies of any unit or units. GROUP SESSIONS

We have an 5 session ideal structure for Certificate III however the amount of time face-to-face can be discussed and agreed depending on the current competencies. 2 or more staff will be treated as a group session and will incorporate a collaborative learning approach which also encourages team building and team work.

BLENDED APPROACH

You may prefer a combination of face-to-face sessions supported by email support and telephone conferencing.

To achieve a Certificate III in Retail, 8 core units must be completed, along with 5 elective units. A minimum of 3 must be selected from the elective list below. A maximum of 2 additional units may be selected from below or any relevant package offered us.
