SIR40316 CERTIFICATE IV IN RETAIL MANAGEMENT

The qualification represents the position of those who oversee daily operations of a department or retail store and lead a frontline workforce in order to implement and meet organisational standards and objectives. These people have a strong understanding of the products and services that are offered, together with a variety of highly developed selling and customer engagement skills.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To undertake this qualification, individuals must: have achieved a Certificate III in Retail, OR have relevant industry employment experience in a job role that has involved the application of skills and knowledge described in core units of competency from the SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail.

SKILLS RECOGNITION

You may be able to apply for advanced standing for one or more units and have your current abilities and knowledge recognised if you have any prior training, job experience, or life experience in a management, coordinator, or team leader role. Among the methods for recognition are:

RPL

You may apply for RPL (recognise prior learning) if you can demonstrate or document that you have the knowledge and experience necessary to meet all of the competencies of any unit or units. GROUP SESSIONS (FOR CERT IV LEVEL)

Many employees in your company might be able to gather for a series of training sessions in your office or another venue that has been decided upon. The ideal framework for a Certificate IV programme is ten sessions, however the precise number of in-person hours can be determined by discussing and deciding on the participants’ present competencies and likelihood of attendance. FLEXIBLE

COURSE STRUCTURE (Packaging Rules)

To achieve a Certificate IV in Retail Management, 11 units must be completed, including 7 core and 4 electives. A minimum of 2 electives must be selected from the list below and a maximum of 2 additional units can be selected from the list below or any relevant Target Training package.
